| Banned | Doing push ups right now, normal push ups, feels like I'm benching about 190lbs. Thats the problem, once I drop another 60lbs, I'll be able to do push ups all day long, but until then.... Bah, a little late on my update, hopefully I'll get that tonight or in the morning. Last edited by Pred; 05-01-2007 at 08:38 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

| Don't knock it Pred, 1.5 pounds every week equals out to 78 pounds in a year. As long as you're not going UP, you're doing good. You have to keep that in mind, just in case you hit a plateau, which you almost certainly will.

| Up to 7.5% body fat loss. I started at 34%, 24%+ is considered obese, so WHOO HOO! hehe. I'm ALMOST not fat... haha DAMM, that line is GREAT

| A.H. Try eating 6 small-medium meals per day. That is the key to weight loss. once every 3 waking hours. Preferably meat or protein shake and some veggies

| Banned | Ark, cut out candy, soda, and fast food. Also, don't just eat two meals a day. Eating many smaller meals(5 or 6) will keep your body's metabolism up, helping you burn calories. LMAO at me and Crazy... Wow, so I finally bought a set of push up bars. All I can say, wow. The push ups are easier, yet harder, I don't know. But one thing I do know, using them works much more then without. I'm feeling it more in my arms, my sides, shoulders and back. Last edited by Pred; 05-03-2007 at 06:14 PM. | I'm lucky to have the metabolism of a hummingbird. I've now hit the hard number. 161. I almost have ab's again, but have noticed at 161 the hunger pangs are not as tollerable. I'm eating a breakfast taco(bacon, egg, cheese, salsa) or 2 in the morning, maybe some cheese/peanut butter crackers for lunch, and by dinner my stomach has shrunk enough were half a meal is plenty. Walking 4-5 miles after dinner and three 3 minute rounds on the heavy bag for cardio and stress relief. I thought it would be easier, but determination is a God send! After losing 14lbs I have new respect for you guys!

| Banned | On 4/27/07 I started doing push ups. I could do 3 normal push ups. I just now, 05/07/07, went down and did 10 push ups. For me, thats huge. My goal is to be able to do 20 push ups by this time next month. |

| There is a handheld device, looks kinda like an XBOX Controller. It has steel plates on the back of the grips. You put in your age, weight, height, etc... It is +/- .5% due to hydration, or lack thereof, in the body. It has steel plates (like the heart rate counter plate you see on cardio equipment) that measure you. Hmm, here: Omron HBF-306C Electronic Bodyfat Analyzer: Bodytronics.com The one I have been using is kinda like that, but not exactly the same. They all do the same stuff though. Just have to look at consumer ratings and the variable in measurements. correction: Maybe it is more accurate than .5%. I'm not sure...have to read the manual, but that is what the trainer I'm using said. But he could be wrong. Seems like a 1% variance is kind of high.

| haha, funny people saying they are fat and under 180...all I can say is: "I wish I were as fat as you." lol. Weight lifting is great though. Adds stamina and endurance to the muscles.

| My personal physician recommended a book called "Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy" by Walter C. Willett of Harvard Medical school. I definitely recommend everyone read this book before setting on a certain type of diet. |

| 45ball, good policy there. But, I would suggest not listening only to your PCP when trying to lose weight or get healthier. They are not trained in fitness, nutrition or as dieticians. Need a physical/bloodwork from your PCP, then take that to a trained expert to figure out what is best for you.

| Banned | Well, personally I think to much is being said of bloodwork, doctors, and trainers to drop weight. Unless you've got a known condition, none of that is really necessary. Cutting out soda, candy, fast food, and drinking 10 glasses of water a day will make most people lose lbs anyways. Getting off our butts and exercising will do wonders. People try to turn diets into this complicated beast so it seems, oddly enough, easier. |
