I test fitted my newly arrived WWII SA woodless Dane in a post war SA stock. The fit and lock up were extremly tight, so tight I couldn't open the bolt without unlocking the trigger group. SO, my questions, is there that much difference between war and post war stocks? If not, where should I start removing material? I mean should I just try sanding each side and test fit? Once wood is removed, it can't be replaced and while I haven't re-finished the stock, I do have some labor in it. Thanks for all your help Pray to who you believe in for the friends and families of those at VaTech
I first of all would try a completely different stock. Just to see if it is in your stock.
Then you probably could use some dye that will not get into the wood but just stays on the wood for looking for the "stuck points"
But probably others have a much better suggestion!

I hope that tis shitty incident at VT will not put to much pressure on the "weapon registration" talks!

It should fit a WW11 or a Post War Stock, they are completly interchangable. Can't understand why the bolt would be stuck. Does the rfile function fine when its out of the stock?
Yes it does. I think it may be a question of manufacturing tolerances ( a little over on one and a little under on the other). It functions just fine in another stock and another receiver works just fine in the first stock. Put the two together and its really a snug fit. I did manage to get the bolt to move rearward but it does take significant pressure. I think a little judicious sanding will fix the problem.
