Cool Gun-control advocates never mention Mexico, do they?

Mexico has some of the strictest gun laws in the world. And what good have those laws done?

They've made law-abiding, peaceful citizens helpless prey for criminal organizations and corrupt law enforcement.

About the only time I hear Mexico mentioned in this debate is when I see that a lot of the guns in Mexico are smuggled in from the US. Yeah, right. I'm not saying that never happens, but you're telling me that Mexican drug cartels couldn't get their hands on pretty much any weapons they want, anytime they want?

Question

I understand that they don't allow the citizens guns in military calibers, hence the popularity of .38super.

Mr. Plate: "My opinion is: as close to zero as possible."

And it's my opinion the esteemed Mr. Plate is an idiot. Both our opinions have equal merit.

Actually, no. I believe your opinion has more merit, Big Dog.

This is WRONG. Sir, let me ask you a question: What would you do if you walked in your house and some guys were raping your wife? Call the police? That takes 12 minutes, enough time for them to brutalize you and your wife. Me, I would run straight for the bedroom, to grab the shotgun. I by no means am a killer, but I refuse to have ones I love hurt, and stand idle beside them in the act. And for your statement that said you were robbed, that is a lie. A man with a CCL would have subdued the thief before he got off with anything. Also, many Americans use thier firearms for sporting purposes, not defense. I spend more on my hunting trips then you do buying a new car. If guns were lost, then hunting would be lost, then MANY, MANY jobs would also be lost, all for pansies that can't grow up and be mature. By the way, guns don't kill people. If pansies like you banned them, then law abiding civilians would have nothing to defend themselves, while outlaws would roam the streets armed and dangerous. I live in Texas, where nearly everyone owns a firearm. Not many homicides here, and if there are, it's related to drugs and/or gang warfare. So please sir, don't be onesided, and get a different tie!

^^^^^^^what I sent him.
