I found out that the shooting happened on tuesday after the NICS check. Here is the way it went.On saturday the 21st 0f march the dealer made a deal to sell a handgun to an indivudal. He didnt run the NICS check until monday the 23rd.The firearm was used to kill one officer and wound another who were responding to a shots fired call on tuesday the 24th.On friday the 27th the South Bend Tribune stated the dealer was charged with multiple violations including false statements to a federal officer.I do not know if the dealer kept posesion of the firearm until monday or not.I do know my brother talked to the dealer at another gun show on saturday the 28th and he had displays at that show and was doing business.I read the article in the paper and stated the facts as they had them printed. Now I am begining to believe the only thing that happened was he misstated the date he ran the check.I will try to get the whole story but papers being what they are I just dont know.I wish I could have posted the news article. samuel.

Here's a question

Does anyone know whether the buyer would've flunked the background check or not, if the dealer had made it at the proper time?
