First off I'm an immigrant, came to this country in '68 with my parents from Cuba. Every time I turn on the T.V. and see the ILLEGAL immigrants portrayed as poor innocent bystanders by our left leaning media it makes my blood boil. They are not immigrants, they are at best migratory pariahs leeching off of this country's assets. All of us are the descendants of immigrants, whether it was seeking religious freedom, running from famine or from political persecution we came to this great Country. In the process we learned to assimilate but without having to give up our heritage and traditions. Some of us are Irish-American, Italian-American, French-American, Chinese-American, it doesn't matter what it says in front of the hyphen all that counts is what comes after it, we are Americans. All those immigrants had an investment in this country, their future. These illegals do not have that investment they come here for "X" amount of time and then cross back over to their country, taking with them all the money they earned here while rarely if ever paying any taxes. I don't write this with malice toward the illegals but more with frustration with our government for allowing it to happen. We have a limit to our recourses, our schools are already overcrowded, our hospitals are shutting down, our social programs have been drained, it's past time we said enough. Thank you for allowing me to rant, it's cheaper than therapy.

That said, I would suggest creating a blog of your own by going up to Blogging up there next to Calendar and New Posts at the top and making this your first post there, if you haven't already got one set up, that is. Reason being, this is a great political discussion topic that is best suited to the blog section. It will likely be deleted by the moderators, but I'm sure they'll wait for you to let them know you've copy/pasted it to a blog first so that you don't have to rewrite it.

Is Communist day. That's when they march, every year. It is the fact that their socialism will dilute the little bit of A Republic we have left. Yes, they are leaches, every time there are free give aways there they are first in line. They would be shot if they tried marching like that in Mexico, where they should be, trying to change that wicked government, like what is developing here. We have an opportunity to stop it now before it gets as bad as it is in third world countries, or else we will be one.
Saw a poll on T.V last week 97 percent of the American people believe that Bush and The Democraps arn't doing enough to stop it.

Good post. I'm an immigrant too. Moved here because my wife couldn't handle Africa - had to wait 1.6 years and missed the birth of my oldest daughter - saw her for the first time when she was 9 months old - because I had to WAIT for my greencard to be processed. In the meantime, I would watch CNN international and see people streaming over the border with no wait time and get treated like royalty here in the USA - while I had to endure humiliation and fees at the US consulate in S. Africa. Let me tell you - there are few people as mean as consulate staff when you are trying to get into the USA.
That rant aside - I think that any person that comes to this country permanently, works an honest job and pays taxes, should be allowed to stay. The ones that are causing problems, are the folks that come over for a year or two, earn money, have babies and don't pay taxes, live off welfare then leave again with the saved money. They need to be kicked out.
Another part of the problem is the leftist media and politicians that want to stay in power by playing on the emotions of the lazy bunch by creating a welfare state.

Illegal immigration is heavily tied to abortion because abortion has eliminated 40 million voting humans in just the US since ROE VS WADE back in the 70s. Abortion is basically a liberal or democrat thing that gathers much of the female vote in the US. Abortion is merely a voter selling point like a good school district is a good house selling point in real estate. The slack from all the dead babies must be made up by 3rd world immigration. Abortion has Left wing disadvantages which multiculturalism cures. The Left saw this back in the 1960s and Sen Jacob Javits D-NY was a pure Karl Marx disciple. Javits was the 1st to realize that abortion that depletes his own constituency can be easily overcome by open borders.
3rd world immigration is no accident. Abortion was the catalyst to the Somali Bantu/Latin American disaster. The hemmoraging immigration anomaly is a Marxist solution to the abortion constituency shortfall that would otherwise be a declining voting block on the Left which is controlled by
leftist Hebrews within the Western US and Europe. Abortion and uncontrolled immigration and multiculturalism is nothing but the Lefts solution to wholesale baby extermination of traditional melting pot sucesses. You have to realize that conservatives don't kill most of their constituency through right to privacy constitutional sophistry known as abotion.
