some pics from today

started out here this morning

then as if it were meant to be (just like everything has went that's been involved with this) when i got to the range, they just happened to have the perfect scope...not the Nikon i thought was what i was going to go with, oh no, a much more affordable Simmons scope with the perfect options: 2-8x32 and extended eye relief that was perfect for my reach.

so after some time working with my son on his stance and safety etc...with the new Rossi .22/.410. boy he had a blast with that thing. it was so quiet though that my wife kept asking if it was even shooting anything. lol

then i got to honing in the sight and some shooting of my own. boy could you tell the difference from the specials to the magnums, it was a blast
(no pun intended)

can't wait to start loading my own shots so i can shoot more without feeling guilty. but would the heat build up be to much? guess i'll have to see, it didn't seem to be that warm after 60 shots today.

That gun is a beauty, I just love the way a Redhawk looks in the afternoon sun.

thanks everybody. we loved the time at the range, just wish it was closer, or we lived outside the city limits. i really want to find somewhere to shoot closer to home.(so we can do it more often)

Wonder how my Ruger .357 Mag would shoot with a scope like your's?
