IMHO all PETA members have at some point in their childhood been dropped upon they lil pointed noggins and suffered permanent impairment of rational logical thinking processes.

Only if they grow tall enough for a hunter to see their head over the grass.

I too, love defenseless animals, especially in brown gravy.

You think I have nothing better to do than hit google every time you come up with a term I've never heard of, like cathead biscuits?

I'm no city boy; I'm a CIO (California-improved Okie). I've eaten those biscuits all my life, but I never heard them called that before.

By the way, I picked up a totally unnecessary piece of cooking gear today. I can't help it; I'm a sucker for yard-sale and thrift-store tools and kitchen equipment.

I paid $4.94 plus tax for a Farberware Electric Rotisserie. I'll plug an extension cord into it tomorrow on my bbq patio, cook me a pork tenderloin on it just to prove I can, and probably never use it again.

Well thats what my Grandma always called em and she along with my Daddy (lovingly referred to as a BDO Big Dumb Okie) were both raised up in Oklahoma. Not too far from Ponca City as I recall.

BTW them electric rostisseries are spiffy especially if it's nasty out you can just set em up under yer shed and cook outsides anyhow!

+1 BTW did yew ever find you a Cabrito?

That project's on hold. I decided the wife and I are close enough to open warfare right now, without me knocking off some cute li'l baby goat before her very eyes, and then trying to feed it to her.

It might be easier to list the things she ISN'T mad about lately. She stormed off to her dear old Mom's place for about six months, and things were right peaceful around here. Then she wore out her welcome there, and came home again. Whoopee...

I am sorry for you brother went through 18 years of that mess with the first wife, the one I am happily with now if we have a disagreement we may argue but it lasts all of maybe 30 minutes, we BOTH go cool off and then figure out TOGETHER how we can prevent it from happening again.

My Missuss won't let me raise rabbits for the table here either. She has this really BAD habit of naming things (and I don't mean just critters either) and of course once it's named she can't stand the thought of it sitting sizzling in the skillet fer supper. She ain't had a problem with the deer or hogs I've butchered but then she says she really didn't KNOW them LOL

Let me give yall a tip that might nip arguments in the bud with your whimmin folk. I've posted this before.

When it appears an argument is about to happen say to your wife in a chamming manner.

Honey I married you because I love you, NOT to argue with you all the time.

It worked for me...A.H

Well A.H. that may work with some but the first wife simply lived to stir up trouble and dissention and not just with me she was famous for it throughout her family, she lived to cause fights.

Ask her if she eats seafood and see if she stands at the dock proclaiming nets and cages to catch fish and shellfish is wrong... Why not stand in front of a grocery store and deem slaughtering harmful to animals? Why not just shut the H3LL UP?! lol

Naw CI she understands all that stuff is a normal and responsible way to process fish and meat, her problem is actually in having the critter about for a while, then she wants to name it then she cain't stand the thought of me killing and butchering it. She ain't to squemish about the fish though... LOL
