Add on at SA for more M1 Garands

In this file Ordnance is get ready to build a new building at SA for the Production of the M1 Garand at SA. We all know what ahppened on May 10, 1940. WW2
Without input from you guys no one learns anything Try to put in some info/question and we can learn more of the M1's History.
Some files have been seen before


Updates on M1 Ball/M2 Ball updated. TIA

And the cost per rifle ended at some $45 instead of the here mentioned $80!!!

When you take the defaluation of the dollar in account the new price would be some $800 these days!!

(There was a post a couple of weeks ago about this!!)

I would pay $800 for a new in wrap WWII Garand all day long.

That was still no small amount of money in the 1940's . Wonder what Winchester charged ?

Remember , the country was just coming out of the depression . $ 1 - $ 2 a day jobs were still a fresh memory , if jobs could be found . :-(

The thing is , we , the tax paying people , or out fathers - mothers or grandfathers - grandmothers , have already paid for these rifles once . :-(
