hey, that's a good idea but no, buying a nice one to shoot at is only good if you also find some degree of enjoyment in driving it |

speaking of rc cars (my other other other hobby), Here's the one in the video on my blog. It's about 8 years old and was built by my dad and older brother who gave it to me. She's not the prettiest thing but she works. ![]() BTW the camera that took this picture was the camera that was on the car.

I KNEW there was a use for the rc cars and pickups my mother-in-law has been buying me for some unfathomable reason. But the rc sailboat doesn't get shot at; stand clear!

Heh, clever and funny. Reminds me of something a highschool friend and I would do with BB guns and the ultra cheap GI Joe knockoff toys. You go out to the desert, set up a skirmish with the figures using the natural terrain and maybe build little fortifications. Then one person stands behind the shooter (for safety) while the shooter takes an agreed-upon number of shots from the general location of his figures at the opposing side. Then, the opponent gets to shoot back. Then the side that just took the shots gets to advance their troops an agreed upon distance (to represent moving from cover, advancing, et cetera) and shoots again. Continue until one side is wiped out, captured, or admits defeat. Yes, we did occasionally spice it up with jury-rigged flamethrowers and on the very rare occasion we'd see what a discarded canister of freon could do - freeze bomb. Toys are fun! - Coeloptera |

We used to go out into a big field and let balloons go. We would then try to shoot them down with Red Ryder BB guns...some balloons got away. I agree...the car might look like a scaled down automobile accident. Last edited by Bravo; 08-29-2007 at 12:33 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

I use to be into the nitro RC trucks I had what is called a Traxxas Nitro Stampeede. It was a 2 wd monster truck that I had put a couple hundred dollers worth of aftermarket junk into. That thing would do wheel stands and max out at 40 mph, but that nonsense got too expensive so I switched to my even more expensive hobby of shooting. I never would have thought of shooting anywhere near that truck, but I will admit to considering shooting at one of my cheaper RC's. I might just have to give that a try, Billy.
