m1 carbine identification of stock

i have an m1 carbine stock, i got from a garage sale, for my winchester m1 carbine, but anywho, i'm trying to identify the markings, on the lest side of the butt it has a square stamp with a stare and then under that is FAT and then underneith that is the numbers 78, on the right side is the same star and the same fat, but with the numbers 82 under it... anyone have a clue???

That Is An Italian stock -Fabrique Arms Terni (Something like that!). I have one as well that came from Sportsmans Guide and is the same stock as on the CMP Carbines they are selling.
