Tejas does not mean Texas in Spanish. Tejas means "all who are friends" (also meaning radiance or fire) in Caddo and was the name given by Spanish explorers to the Hasinai group of Caddo-speaking Native Americans. Just thought you might want to know.
No that is true The Wall, however the name TEXAS is directly derived from it, and Tejas amongst the Tejanos and Texicans hav ebecome near synomymous with the Republic...

If anyone wants to split hairs, I think the term Tejanos used to refer to the Mexicans who were already settled in the area when the Texicans got there, and I think Earl's right; they mostly fought on the same side with them, against Santa Ana.

What if is a nice game to play. but, in the interest of levity and seriousness, let me just say, I'd prefer they keep their butts over there and I'll remain here. It has been my long time understanding, that, unless you are in the tourist traps, you are not safe in mexico because of the bandits. Even in the tourist areas, you are warned to drink only bottled water. Why on earth would I want to go somewhere I cannot even drink the water? And, even more absurdly, call it vacation? No, mexico, like other third world nations, is a huge anal opening.....festering just south of our border. Maybe, we should just do some checking and decide if it's safe to dispose of our nuclear wastes right on the ground at the border! That way, if they sneak in, they die of radioactive poisoning! Problem solved.

I'm so glad you approve! It's getting so hard to gain approval from these guys, anymore. Nobody wants to do anything about the problem of illegals. When i say deport they say we can't deport them all. Why? Their answer is amnesty! Bull sheet! If we post signs in arabic and spanish and, use the international sign for poison and death, that should satisfy the bleeding hearts. Yes, I know it's not a perfect plan but, at least it's not amnesty!

The bill that they want to pass will give the illegals amnesty, It says they will all have to retain lawyer's!
Uncle Sugar ( Our Federal Goverment ) will pay for the lawyers at a cost of over 2 Trillon dollars to the tax payers.

as for deportation, round them up put them in C130's and drop them over mexico city............no shuts!

The problem is, they are not going to do a single thing about this problem. That is what makes me so angry. your idea would be just fine with me. A visual aide would help drive the point home, as well. Think bush would consider doing it? Doing anything? Oh, yeah, i forgot...he likes amnesty.

too many special interest groups and PC crap to deal with. he wants to give them amnisty..fine only secure the border and everyone that is here has to register to claim it and forfits ANY public assistance for 10 years. this includes all memebers of thier family. and only skilled workers are allowed in from then on, with no more family imigration status for non-skilled imigrants. skilled imigrants and families would also forfit ANY public assistance for 5 years from date of arrival. Thoes crossing the boarder after it has been secured can and will be met with deadly force should they refuse to peacable surender. Drug smuglers regaurdless of nationality would face a maditory death sentance for smugleing across the boarder. and imigrants of any nationality MUST learn english and pass a test within 5 years of arival or face deportation.
