Could someone describe the proper technique to use a sling when sitting down with a rifle? I never knew that they could be used to improve the stability of the rifle.

On the Outdoors Channel, Guns and Ammo TV had an excellent segment on the proper use of a sling by Wayne van Zwoll. I ended up getting it on VHS. Rifle Shooting Videos The video is online for your viewing pleasure at the link I just gave.
