I just saw Resident Evil Extinction and it has climbed near the top of my list of favorite survival movies.

Good Survival flick

Have you seen "The Postman" with Kevin Kostner? Highly underated post apocalyptic survival scenario. Worth renting.

Dunno about a movie but the book Robinson Crusoe has one of the best survival stories ever written in English.

The book is awesome. Daniel Defoe really knew his stuff. Major kudos to the man.

You might be talking about The Hunted. Tommy Lee plays a civilian survival instructor who the government gets to help capture one of his former students that has gone rogue.

Well... since nobody mentioned it, and I'm in a slapstick mood, "The Survivors" with Walter Matheau and Robin Williams was pretty funny.

On a more serious note, I think "Red Dawn" really took a lot of people by surprise. "Behind Enemy Lines" was good, except for the Bouncin' Betty's ...

survival movies

One thing about red dawn that struck me as being accurate is the portrayal of the local mayor who just," wanted to be everyones friend" and jeapordized the life of his son and his friends, which resulted in even more death!!!! classic politician!!!!!
