Sorry to ask the same kinds off questions over and over again but am buying an AR and probably a Glock or 1911 and was wondering which was best out off Colt,Armalite, or Bushy or any other that are better please let me know and sorry again for sounding like a broken record but thanks!
My price range is about $1,300 but i am looking for a used one so am hoping to find one for bout half that. You may also comment on the Glock and 1911 question. Thanks again.
I bought a Smith&Wesson it's a quality AR. But most all the major brand ARs have parts built by many other vendors. Stag builds many lowers for many brand name ARs. DMPS is a quality brand as in RRA. Nothing wrong with Armalite. Then there is Lewis Machine Tool they make a really nice bunch of ARs. Just find the brand that best fits your needs at the price you wish to spend.
About the handgun you can't go wrong with a Glock .40s&w but take a lot of time reading up on the 1911s as they can be a real tough buy and if you buy one that has problems ouch!!.
When it comes to AR's, it's getting to the point that one AR is about the same/as good as another. All forged lowers are the same. Some have a slightly better finish, but mainly you pay extra for a logo. As for triggers, I like RRA's lower parts kits. Personally I think their better then Bushmaster(the trigger). As for the bolt carrier group, I'd go with a LMT or CMT M-16 group from Bravo Company USA. Depending on what you want an upper for, I'd go to Del-Ton and order a simple M4 flat top upper thats chrome lined. What exactly are you wanting an AR for? Plinking? Hunting? To use on the job?
Honestly, about the only way to mess-up any of what you ask about is to buy a cheap 1911. I would go with the Bushmaster AR because it will be the least expensive of the three (which will all function the same). Armalite would be the second choice of the three you listed - Colt's are nice, but I think they are over priced for what you get. You are buying a name on that one. Take the money you save by buying the Bushmaster and get a nice optical sight (Be sure to get an A-3 or A-4 flat-top upper). I would recommend you look at aimpoints, eotecs and Trijicon Acogs.
As for the Glock vs 1911, I can't decide which I like better. I own 3 glocks and 4 1911's - my opinion of which is better changes from day-to-day. Neither is a bad choice. Just don't get a cheap 1911 - if it don't cost $650+ new, move on. You really do get what you pay for with 1911's. If you can't afford that, go with the Glock. If you do go with the Glock, pull those cruddy standard sights off and put on some good night sights (Trijicon or meprolight).

...or Heinie, as they use the Trijicon H3 (tritium) gas tubes in their custom sights. I have the Heinie Straight Eight sights on my G27 and they're great.

Colt is the best of your 3 choices for AR's.
I have both GLOCK's and 1911's and love them both. Just remember, you can buy 2 GLOCK's for the price of one 1911!

Really, where? A used Glock is about $400-$450. A basic Springfield 1911 is around $450-$500. Not knocking ya, but I fail to see your math . As for the AR's, buying either of the three is a waste of money IMHO. Build your own...

A quality 1911 that I'd trust my life with all start at around $1000 and up.
No offence to anyone here but I own a basic Springfield 1911A1 and I wouldn't use it to defend my family. Here is a good Springfield (IMHO): SPG PC9108LP TRPY SRVC TNS 45ARM PKG
Now, he stated that his price range was around $1300. So if he buys one good 1911 (which IMHO will cost him at least $1000) he could get 2 Glocks for the same price. Either way you can't go wrong.

for $600 I bought an Olympic Arms 16" plinkster. so far it has worked flawlesly and I shoot Wolf and S&B. But for me all I wanted was something that looked cool and put holes in what I was aiming at.
My choice
