Jim Zumbo Outdoors?

I turned on the TV today, something I seem to be doing less and less of, and saw Jim Zumbo has a new T.V. show. This was news to me, and it is possible it's not "new," just new to me.

Anyways, they saw him taking a tactical weapons course and had clips from Ted Nugents show firing AR-15's. It will be interesting to see how the show does in the ratings.

That's disappointing. I had hoped he was gone for good as a result of his bashing of guns. But, I guess not.

C'mon guys, he screwed up and has publicly apologized AND fought the anti's who tried to use his mistake to further their agenda. I think he's been making an enormous effort to right his wrongs. We've all made mistakes, but how many of us are willing to lay our necks on the chopping block and face public flogging for our screw-ups? As bad as it was at the time, he's actually made the effort to educate himself and the public about the very guns he badmouthed. As we all know, we can use all of the GOOD press we can get.

usually it is, but the public is already so confused about guns that it's not necessarily true in this case

examples of when it is are..... well you ever heard the song by eminem fack? perfect example of a publicity stunt

If he learns from his mistakes all is well...he shouldn't get his prestige back but hopefully this has opened the eyes of other elitists.

I agreed with you.But after being lectured by members here,I must agree with them.Zumbo took one step over the line. For monetary reasons I can't tell? But he did fall into the anti/gun propaganda regime and cannot be redeemed. So be it!

He should just go away. I'm glad he apologized, but give it up.

One comment ended a long career. The NRA has signed off on deals that hurt our position much worse than Zumbo, but none of those involved have lost their jobs. Maybe I'm getting soft in my old age but I think he's been punished enough-not that my opinion is going to help him any.

I didn't know what to make of it either. I am glad he has educated himself, and has made an effort to right his wrong. I just don't know how he got sponsors to pay for his program. I think it is possible he can still do some good for the sport, I just don't know if a T.V show is the right way to do it.

He made his living off of the shooting sports for years. You are darn right I think he needs to just go away. Apologizing publicly was the absolute very least he could do since shooting sports provided him a rich life. Now, out of respect, he should fall on his sword. He made the mess, he stepped into the mess and now, he is forever going to smell like the mess. For the sake of us all, he should take the stench of the mess with him and away from all of us, the unsoiled. I have a zero tolerance for folks like him and all his line for all time! Cursed be his name!
