Creation of anti-gun corporation list?

Do you think it would be useful?

This is a great tool. There is an organization here in Colorado: Rocky Mountain Gun Owners Association. They keep a list of merchants and companies who have been verified to either be anti-gun or post signs sastating "No concealed weapons" on their doors.

Check it out, might give you some ideas.

I maintain a list of both Anti- and Pro-Gun businesses in Washington state over on the Washington Forums on OCDO.

I even give the addresses and links to threads of the experiences that got them on the list. If you plan on coming to Washington state, check it out.

Personally, I like the idea. But, to make it really effective, it needs to be public and folks need to know you don't shop there because...... Maybe, single out one place a week to publicly denigrate!

Sounds like a good plan! Their pocket book is their only concern, therefore their only weakness!

If you follow the link I posted, you'll see that's exactly what we're doing. We are getting the list together and anytime we see a "No Guns" or "No Weapons" sign, we'll hand them a "No Guns = No Money" card, saying that they've lost our business and we're taking our money to their competitors.

The reason I think the state-by-state thing is more effective is that way you can concentrate on locals in the area that actually frequent the establishments. A national or international list would be very hard to compile, since many locations are part of corporations, yet make local-site policies.

Well...if they are so concerned as to post such a sign do you think that they are going to miss our business? Especially local businesses. I had an anti-Bill Clinton sticker on my truck and a fellow came into the business where I worked, actually displaying his $50 bill, and told me that he had money to spend in the store. But, since I was such a Neanderthal, to put such a sign on my truck, his $50 bill was going elsewhere. Now, do you think that bothered me? This cuts both ways, as these things always do. If I hand somebody a "No Guns - No Money" card, should I think that he'll really care? I'm a dangerous Neanderthal to him. A sub-human that has to carry a weapon in these civilized times. If he feels so strongly about guns that he'll post such a sign in his window...he doesn't want our business. The one that bothered me was the GUN SHOP that had a sign directing me not to bring a loaded gun into the store. And they want to sell me a gun?

Probably had a habit of charging too much for weapons. If you just scre... someone, would you want them entering your business with a loaded weapon?

I'm betting what he meant was, "unload the !@#$%^ thing, before you tote it into my store and start waving it around in my face, asking me if I want to make a trade, or buy it, or tell you what's wrong with it and how to fix it."

Troy 2000, that's probably what they mean. My mistake on that one.

No need to get sarcastic man, he was just stating what he felt what the sign said.

He had the green smiley-face in the title, Chris, so I don't believe he was too serious...I'm going to think of something evil to save up for saying to him next time anyway, though...
