| Senior Member | they got huge refineries and pipelines not to mention the oil tankers off load right offshore from louisiana and all them rigs in the gulf.one good nuke in the middle of all them platforms and thats a done deal. or one good nuke right at the mouth of the miss, river and that would shut that down and send a wave up river that would burst all the levees and knockout all the power plants and refineries and pipelines. if i was to plan a attack i would really give south louisiana a good looking into. why hit a millitary base?? what good would that do to cripple the country?they want to shut us down and they could do just that with one or two nukes on a ship the best part is they can detinate it defore it even gets close to land and still do most of the damage . as far as i know we don't inspect the ships until they come into port but to me that is to close we should have navy ships way out there in the swhipping lanes stopping the ships and checking them 100/200 miles out. the same thing with texas they shouldn't let any ships into their ports at all they should all be checked way out at see. |

| Resident Armed Liberal ![]() | Scary scenario, tommy. I'm far enough from just about everything that I don't really need to worry about a direct attack. But unfortunately, the prevailing winds usually come our way from Los Angeles.

| Senior Member | the way the winds swirl over the .u.s. it would spread that radiation all over.them nrtherns swirl all over and in the summer the south wind just blows inland.i hope they haven't been reading about them balloons the japs used in ww2 that would really do us some harm then. a few nuke bombs and bam we are done for. |
