Angry Arizona School Suspends 13-Year-Old Boy for Drawing Gun

Arizona School Suspends 13-Year-Old Boy for Drawing Gun!
When did this country become Communist? I don't remember voting on that.
Check out this article. All he did was scetch a picture of a pistol while at school. It was a typical doddle and wasn't directed at anyone or given to anyone. Crazy!

At first I thought you meant that he drew out his firearm, but then I realized he made a drawing of a gun. When I was a kid all I did was make drawings of guns.

Officials at an Arizona school suspended a 13-year-old boy for sketching what looked like a gun, saying the action posed a threat to his classmates.

Yet, a kid could draw a picture of a big erect penis or a naked chick and have it called artistic...lol.

This country has turned into nothing more then a bunch of sissy, scared for their lives SAVE THE CHILDREN, bunch of morons. Every single person who is involved in this kids suspension needs to be brought up on charges of "unreasonably stupid" to the point of hurting humanity. I hope this family gets millions from the school and state, and this kid never has to work a day in his life. What a bunch of idiots...

It keeps seeming that the "sheep" are so afraid of the "wolves" they are tryin to outlaw the wolves teeth instead of calling on the shepard or the shepards dog for help. "Counter-constructive", says I.

Thumbs up

Those school officials and their district policy were totally an over reaction. Actually, they might have created a psychological problem for the 13 year old boy who might become paranoid after that incident thinking he did something wrong, when in actuality it was the school officials who failed to use common sense.

Seems that a law suit against the district might have merit.

Only thing I am concerned with, that looks like some 'bling bling' hanging off of the trigger guard. Gotta wonder if this kid is one of those 'gangsta' wanna-be's where he talks to his little thug buddies about popping a cap in someone's ass all the time.

I'd like to hear some more history on this kid. Perhaps if he had a certain personality or a group of friends he was with, this sketch of a handgun may well be alarming.

Similar to if you saw Bush painting a self portrait of himself giving the 'Hail Hitler' salute.

"The boy's parents said the drawing was a harmless doodle"

Well from the picture it sure looks like a bored kids doodle, obviously no effort put into it at all. I can't believe a teacher was scared of this bad excuse for a firearm.

People always think their kids are 'little angels.' I'd like to know more about the kid.

God help the poor kid that draws a picture of a nekkid girl in that school. They'd probably give him a public flogging.

Regardless of the type of kid, a drawing of a gun means jack squat.

Zero tolerance usually equates to "zero intelligence".

I cannot imagine being the sort of person who could genuinely think the thoughts that might lead me to say a picture of a gun is "absolutely a threat". It must be so relaxing not to have to think anymore.

All they're teaching the kids is that people in authority are idiots and will do whatever they can to get you if they don't like what you're doing.

Come to think of it...that's not a bad lesson, now is it?

But oh yes, I too, smell lawsuit.

I cannot for the life of me see how college educated supposedly intelligent people can equate some kids DRAWING of what may or MAY NOT be a firearm in and of its self as constituting a threat to anyone. What did they think the kid had magic Ju-ju and the gun would spring to life all on it's own leap off the page it was drawn on and kill someone? Come on folks this is as STUPID as it gets. Hope they do sue the school and all the administrators involved in this idiocy.
