Gods Warriors

Did anybody catch the CNN series God's Warriors? I missed the first episode about Islam but saw the Jewish and Christian segments. It is a well done series. I consider myself a Christian, but not necessarily a fundimentalist. But after watching the series I see that I clearly lean to the right (but not on all issues).

The point behind the series was that religious fundimentalism is rampant in Islam, Judism and Protest Christianity in the U.S. One of the points that was brought out about fundimentalist Christianity is that some of their tenents are the same as Islamic fundimentalism. Very scary.

"Fundamentalism" is one of those words that means what you want it to mean, just like "conservative" or "liberal."

The "fundamentalist" Christian churches in the US have nothing in common with "fundamentalist" Islam, because the fundamentals are completely different.

While Christians are supposed to be good citizens and Christians are historically patriotic when their country and faith don't conflict, Christianity is not tied to any particular nation. Nations choose their paths, and some choose to fight against Christianity and principles held by Christianity. There are also those who think they can do whatever they want in the name of Christianity, but that's their problem, not Christianity's.

BRG3 I would suggest you watch the shows especially the Christian segment. The show will be repeating on Saturday and Sunday nights on CNN.
