Talked to a police officer yesterday. We had a NICE conversation about hunting and guns. I think a lot of cops, unless they were "indoctrinated", would have a hard time taking our guns.

It seems that the repubs were right, at least, in part....the dems have no platform aside from taking our guns. that's it. Sad, I think. Even more sad, is they will probably be in control for the next 8 years! i guess we better get used to it.

That why giving up is not an option.
Made me sick when I heard someone say that they cant wait for it so all the guns they own will go up 300 % in value. And of course they sell.

Really.... go back and tell the person this. The problem with his reasoning is that they want to make all face to face sells illegal, each time a gun changes hands it has to go through an FFL. Then watch the transfer fees jump from around $20-$30 to $120-$130.

All transfers, not just sales. The only exception is immediate family; e.g., father to son.

Don't ever bet on liberty versus law; the cops are sworn to uphold the law. Make guns illegal and the cops will follow orders and remove them from you.

Don't be a noob!

I was up at the county court house the other day and there was some poor soul that was charged with possession of two assault rifles, he did not look like a terrorist to me, nor did he look like he was about to knock over a 7-11. He was a clean-cut kid, I had talked to him earlier out in the parking lot. He seemed like a pretty decent guy. But the cops still took his guns and charged him with a couple of felonies, pretty serious. I would caution you to not rely on the good will of the cops to not take your guns, and throw your butt in jail.

I know there are a number of LEO's on this board and I come from a family of LEO's. I am not bashing you guys for upholding the law, I understand that you have to do it, even though you may not like it. Yet, mark my words, there will be a time when the LEO's and the citizens on this board will have to make a decision and say enough is enough and retake our country back either by the ballot box or by other means…

But, I disagree with your choice of words.

No, they don't have to do "it"! They can just say "NO!".

H.R. 1022 Co-Sponsors

Search Results - THOMAS (Library of Congress)

We need to keep track of this now. With what happened yesterday, it's very possible this could take off very quickly.

The timing of the shooting is very suspicious.

It is kind of wierd that they let the regular scheduled school go on without warning anyone of the danger...I don't know that someone sat back & planned this to go this way, but I do believe our govt. takes advantage of situations that come about in order to futher their agendas.

Still no one from Washington, Oregon, or Idaho, but there is one from Montana. Seems the Northwest is rather safe.

Like has been said, with the events that unfolded yesterday, we must be really careful, and do our best to protect the 2nd Amendment.

Manchurian candidate

They knew, as reports come out about his demise, and they just let it happen? To further the outcry against guns? To get more co-sponsors for HR1022? Or did the wild college lifestyle break down/ corrupt his religious background? I would like to know if a psychologist had sessions with him. Sure was timely. Cause, reaction, solution.
