What would YOU have done?

I probably would have shot the stupid s.o.b., guess he's never heard that CO issues CWP's to citizens. http://www.9news.com/news/local/arti...?storyid=76369 This is why I keep my .45 between my seat and my console when I'm driving, very easy to reach.

I sure as heck woulda made sure when he fled from the scene he was limping badly and had a good grip on his "equipment" as he fled, cause I'd have let him have it both barrels (so to speak). Dirtbag

I sure wouldn't have gotten out and tried to beat his ass, I'm much too old for that. I'm also sure that would have been a "justified" shoot. Stick a gun in MY face, you stupid son-of-a...

Actually, you don't even need a CWP in Colorado to carry cocked & locked in your car, concealed or open... It was Colorado 2003 revision to the transport of firearms statute.

Just a Thought

I'm not one to recommend going to a gunfight with a knife and I damn sure wouldn't go with nothing. However, If that were my car, the police wouldn't need to hurry to the scene and there will be only one explanation on the report.

Dead man. Especially if he was as reluctant to shoot as he must have been to give the guy time to get out of the car, come over, and tackle him.

He lacks the courage of his convictions.

If able, I'da jerked his arm into the car, rolled the window up as tight as it would go, drove him around for an hour or two, and dropped whatever was left at the local station house. That's 'cause I'm a nice guy who wouldn't want to shoot anyone.

Yeah, he wasn't really a dedicated robber, was he? Probably the first time he'd ever done it, and maybe the gun wasn't loaded or wasn't real. I guess he'll learn from the experience, one way or the other.

Personally, I won't complain that no one on either side got killed, even though killing him would have been justified.

well, since i'd be driving my parents honda because i don't have a car that's not an option, because it has a safety feature that won't allow that, and i can't carry a gun so i'd have to put a knife in his throat

Would Be Robber

It never ceases to amaze me how would be (or perhaps wannabe) criminals apparently 'think' weapons will make the victim roll up in a ball, cover their heads, and hand over their wallets.

Had a clown try that in a parking lot at Sears a few years ago and the 'victim' pulled a .45 and let the joker have 8 in the COM. Needless to say, the police said it was justified and just packed the remains off. They never even took the shooter's weapon away.

Well...if somebody has the drop on you and you go for your gun, he may just panic and shoot you. I'm not telling anybody to roll over, but there are guys out there who will shoot you. A tough split-second decision, isn't it?

I know a fellow who was being watched by a jealous ex-boyfriend of the girl he was dating. He went to her place of employment to pick her up and the ex approached his car with a 9 mm in hand. My friend had no time to get his gun, but floored his car to try to get out of range. The ex gave him two shots that hit, and then turned the gun on himself. My friend told me that he knew he had no time to engage this person, but tried to get out of there with the thought that he might not get hit. He had the bullets removed and fully recovered.

I've been wondering if it was even a real gun. Some of those "airsoft" BB guns look pretty real. I'm sure I'd feel real bad about shooting some guy armed with an airsoft gun, but I'd get over it. After all, armed robbery is armed robbery. Don't have time to be deciding if it's a real gun or not.

And how could somebody shoot a BG 8 times with a .45? Wouldn't they likely drop after the first one or two? Seems like after the first hit his legs would just give it up. I'm sure mine would. Bowels too.

The guy in question was a combat action shooter and can easily pop off a full load in no time whatsoever. His reloads are quite entertaining to watch as well.

That's the problem, he will learn from his mistakes and the next time, he'll kill or injure someone. Scum like that never learn what they need to learn.
I'm an old man and I was in fear for my life. End of problum.
