My all-time favorite car is what I consider the most beautiful American car ever built - the 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk! Their Avanti is a close second.
Favorite car I owned was my old '68 AMC AMX - the original two-seater! Looked like a Pinto on steroids - it would flat-out blow away most any other factory car in it's class in acceleration - it was a drag-racer made street legal! Mine had the little 290ci engine - I stalked 455ci TransAms and ate 'em for lunch - unless they got me on the open highway - then the birds ate me!
That little monster topped out at 104MPH, and got there real quick! Hard suspension with solid Torque Links - one harsh ride over the bumps! But I loved that little car.
The F Body was a sexy series...and the new model looks frigging gorgeous! Hope it gives some real competition to the ford mustang to step it up again. I think Ford has Chevy beat as far as that goes.....the IROC was the last camaro to really beat ford until ford came out with the redesigned mustangs in 94.
It's interesting as an insurance agent to have a young person driving a 1994 Chevy Cavalier go to a dealer and mortgage himself for a new sports car. The dealer will call and ask me to send proof of insurance. I do that, then I switch vehicles on the policy. When the young person gets the bill I usually get a panicked phone call. The smart ones call and ask how much the price will go up before they buy.

My first car was bought with an inheritence my Dads sister left me when I was 8 years old.
At age 17 I bought a new 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 w/ 428 Super Cobra engine and it had the shakker ram air scoop that was mounted on the air breather.
I kept it 5 years and I'm blessed to be here today...The cops loved me !!!
i'll probably end up with a chevy silverado at some point, maybe a cobalt, i'd like a corvette, or a ferrari, or a lamborghini, but won't have the money for those before i'm too old to have one without a mid life crisis
I'm unable to declare just one car as my favorite because for many reasons I want/need something different.
For example, when I'm wanting to pull something heavy I need plenty of horsepower.
When I want to haul a lot onboard or inside, I want either a truck or SUV.
When I want comfort during long highway trips, I want something totally different.
When I want to feel sporty none of the above fits my needs.
So...it's all about compromise. Therefore, I just bought a Grand Cherekee Jeep fully loaded with options, power sun roof, fancy wheels, trailer package included, powered with a 5.7 Hemi, and has navitation for whenever it's needed.
My great grandfathers 1970 American Motors Hornet 4 door with a after market Thermo King Air conditioner (took up most of the front leg area.)
It originally was a Army Green color, but my Gramps decided to paint it white.
It had a straight 6 232 motor..
I was unbeaten in drags in ft of my school..
Pop it in 1 then 2 then drive for 3rd gear and I would blow doors on anyone...
It was sadly stolen and the AC was removed..
It sits in a junkyard and is in the same place for 20 years now..I drive by and show my son sometimes..and I dream of actually getting it out and rebuilding it etc..
But the Chevy Monte Carlo that sits on its roof makes me think otherwise,
1969 Chevrolet Chevelle that my best friend in HS had. 396CID V8 bored .30 over and running a really hot cam. Helped him install a custom built Tremec TKO manual trans in it when he blew the M21 that was in it. 4:11 rear made that thing wicked quick and it sounded mean as hell with the straightpipes+Cherry Bombs midway down. I want to build one of my own someday.
My Favorite car I own is my black beauty. 91 Mustang GT 5 Speed 302 Posi.
My dream car is a Lamborghini Diablo Black.
I cant believe yesterday I was talking with a guy and he had my dream car in his garage. He showed me the V12 engine. I said let me take it out for a drive but for some reason he just laughed.

1963 Ferrari GT 250 Lusso Berlinetta.. A green one, mind..
Google for an image..
Steve McQueen had a Marrone Metallizzato coloured `63 ( sort of a metalic gunmetal chocolate colour ) that recently sold for 2.3 million, but the history of the car probably contributed to that. I`ve seen them for better prices but still more than I have.

The 09 Camaro is so hot! Especially the convertible.
Big dog- your link doesn't work?
Agreed, I need to sell some stuff and get on the list. I can hear them now "who's that old fat fart in the convertible?"
Every car on this site is for sale, please buy one. Untitled Document

I have two that I loved one was a 1976 Firebird with a factory 455 4 speed. It was one of the last ones built with that motor. The other one was a 1970 Nova it had a built 350 in it. Both cars were a blast to drive.
