Maybe it's just me, but did I hear him say "I need to be drug out into the street and shot."...? I swear that's what he said... or maybe that's just my better judgment taking over where my ears were.

That jerk is a current board member of the NRA and thinks that "Assault Weapons" are supposed to be military or police only... unless they're limited to 5 rounds. Oh, and that goes for any other weapon, too.

I hope this guy disappears in a large Louisiana swamp.

As the indians said, "white man speak with forked tonque", I amazes me how this clown can jump right from saying he wholeheartedly supports the 2nd Ammendment to claiming that "civilians" only need 5 rds. Time to vote!

I am repulsed by that interview.

Really, that was disgusting to hear him say that.

Here's what I tend to believe about laws. They are not usually there to prevent actions, but to punish them. Gun laws don't keep criminals from breaking them, they define the fact that there is a punishment for doing so.

So why do law-abiding civilians needs to be limited to five rounds again? Won't criminals just ignore these laws or get military or LE weapons for their crimes?

You know, I don't usually put much stock in the notion that the government is that overly concerned with disarming the populace, but this...makes me wonder.

Yes please, I need this guy's email address.

I tried to e-mail the NRA and got an "invalid address" message.

Man this guy is ridiculus! Who elected this ignorant fool to the board. We need to figure out how to get this guy off the NRA board. While we are at it lets try to figure out how to get the NRA back to a gun rights organization. The current leadership sucks. Do we happen to have any NRA big shots on this forum?

The only reason I am curently renewing my NRA membership is that my range requires it!

That guy needs to be shipped off to a retirement home. He's obviously senile. I've seen situations where if the person defending themselves only had 5 rounds, they'd be dead. What if someone like that nut job gang member with the SKS shows up? I'd want a clip with more than 5 rounds in it.

Statements like "but they're the 800 pound gorilla" doesn't mean all that much now.....

That being said; this was one guy's opinion. He does not speak for the NRA's position on such. However he said "they have discussed this at the NRA and it seems to be a touchy subject." Touchy how? and to whom? You have to wonder if the NRA really does support the true meaning of the 2nd Amendment.

You see the problem here isn't what he believes; its that he wishes to impose his beliefs on everyone.

This is the reason why the NRA is viewed, by me, as suspect. I've always distrusted them. But, they are the biggest dog on the block. Too bad they are co-opted by evil doers.

Assault Weapons... That sure is an interesting word, geeez I could take my Remington 742 and rob a bank with it. Doe's that make it an Assault Weapon...
Do any memebers here at G&G actually own a real Assault Weapon ?

The guns like AK's,AR.s and the like,, that most memebers here own are imatations of Assault Weapons there not the genuine article.

To me an Assault rifle is a Military version that can be fired Full Auto.

I m sick of hearing that word used in regards to the imatation ones !!! There No different than my Remington 742 hunting rifle other than the way they look.

If were around 15 years from now (or less) what will hunting guns look like ?

My lil rant...A.H

I have to agree. I actually had this conversation with someone yesterday and sighted that by the definition given by libs (and apparently the NRA), technically my Swiss K31 is an assualt weapon. More so than the Bushmaster AR15 on the wall at the local gun shop, because mine was in the hands of an actual active duty soldier at some point in time. Mine has never been full auto and it is 71 years old, but it is a military weapon and possibly saw some kind of action of Lord knows what level. Yet because it is a bolt action rifle with a wood stock it must not be nearly as scary as an AR15.

If there is a palm to be greased, I expect the NRA will sell us out...just as they have done on many occasions before.

I'd liek to hear NRAJOE's input on this one, seriously. I sense a retraction or other sort of negative reaction by the NRA.
