When I read this I realized again how much I owe to those veterans who have stepped up to the plate putting their lives on the line, and who have done their military time throughout the world, and were willing to do this for all American's benefit.

A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to and including my life."
That is honor, and there are too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
