You can get my stock set from kvar for milled AND stamped AK's.

The Arsenal is nice if you can find one and can afford it. I had and unmodified one like Joe's - it was a fine rifle. No complaints - my best friend talked me out of it. He still has it! I also had a Norinco. It was a good rifle, but not as good as the Arsenal. I had a WASR-10 - didn't like it much - actually I hated it. Loose mags, trigger slap, dismal accuracy and a nasty habit of popping me right under my cheek bone.
I now own two of the Yugo M-70's and I have no plans to sell them anytime soon. They are accurate, dependable and generally very user friendly. I have the underfolder and the fixed stock versions. No Complaints - except that I can't afford their big brother (Yugo RPK).

What do you think about those Chrome Ak's and the prices? And where could I find a receiver to add to that parts kit?

Well, going to look at AK's today. We'll see what I end up with.
Heading over to 5280 Armory here in Arvada, CO. They are pretty good. http://www.ak-47man.com/home.html

I really like the look of the M-70 underfolder, are they just for plinking or can you actually shoot with one? They do not look as if they are comfortable to shoot, cheek-to-stock.

I like the folding stock better than the standard AK stock - I find it hard to get a good sight picture with the standard AK stock. With the under-folding stock you can get your head down a little further and get a decent sight picture.
I took para cord and wrapped the left bar on my under-folder. That way you don't have your face on a piece of cold metal in the winter. It still folds and functions normally.

I love my Saiga. It's chambered in .223 and I got 2 30 round mags for it. Brand new for 250 plus 100 for the mags. I have not had one problem outta it for about 300 rounds so far. Well I take that back. I did have one strange thing happen the very first time I squeezed the trigger. It fired 2 rounds instead of one. It ejects the spent casings kinda hard too. They literally hit the roof. Need to fix that soon so I can save them to reload. After that it work flawlessly. Pretty accurate too! I am not the best shooter but I get 1 inch at 50 yards 3 shots using Wolf Ammo. I figure that I can improve on that by using some better ammo. Those shots were NOT fired from a bench rest either.

Which Saiga? My Saiga .223 has 10 and 30 round mags
And the world's most accurate gun won't help a poor shooter.
