Post Miami Shooter

What idiots on Fox News!

The Miami shooter certainly needs captured and brought to justice, but holy crap! Fox's dripping, anti-gun rhetoric belongs on Oprah, or the Clinton campaign trail. Worse, many of our fellow countrymen will fall for it.

Within a couple of minutes, our *helpful* live reporter had repeated SEMI-AUTO several times. OMG! He has a SEMI-AUTO! Ahhh!!! Just like that BB gun that I got for Christmas that shoots a BB every time I pull the trigger! Run!!!

Oh, and he's GOT to be guilty, because he bought "not one, but 3 AK-47s" in the past year! Geez, for me and my friends, that's a SLOW year!

These jack asses that own broadcasting companies are *so* strapped for original ideas and truly investigative reporting that they will latch on to *anything* and sensationalize it! How pathetic...

Oh, wait, I can't forget to mention *this* gem: according to our un-biased Fox reporter, police officers are saying that they need to get these weapons off the street! Lucky for you Corvette owners that the shooter didn't hit a police officer with his Chevy pickup truck! We'd have to get those dangerous Chevies off the streets ASAP!

What's up with people? I believe that it's ignorance that allows broadcasters to get away with this type of reporting (and Jerry Springer, etc., but that's another story). I've never seen a weapon go to jail, and I would love to hear from those that think that we can child-proof the world. Then again, those anti-personal-responsibility liberals sure have a knack for whipping up those types of stories.

You know, we *really* need to do a better job of educating others about the 2nd amendment, and guns in general. Especially effective would be requests for others to just shut up (hey, why should the 1st amendment be so special?). Ooo, and maybe that freedom of the press thing can go, too, right?

Some people's children...

Happened during WWII,Brits had taken the guns from the general population, and then fearing a German invasion pleaded for American citizens to send them our guns to defend their shore from the Germans.
That's one reason our forefathers put the second ammendment into that"damn piece of paper!"

Do you seriously believe that a few more shotguns and rifles could have stopped the German Army had they invaded Britian in WWII? Or are you referring to the tanks, aircraft, machineguns and destoyers that Britian did ask us for?

Yes, we sent small arms to England for the Home Guard in WWII.

Don't underestimate an armed and aroused populace, Dallas. They may not stop an invasion in its tracks, but they can tie up troops, divert resources, and generally make life miserable for the invaders.

I don't know how true this is but I heard that the Japanese soldiers during WW-11 were not afraid of the US Army if they attacked the US Mainland.

They knew that American citizens owned guns and thought that everyone could shoot like the cowboys in the movies.

i read that after the war some high ranking Japanese military officers said they didnt try to invade the u.s.a.because they knew the population was armed. why hasnt Switzerland ever attacked? same reason. i also read that all the guns that were donated to england got dumped in the sea after the war, with a few high profile exceptions. i'll be dammed if i would ever send any of my guns to help those idiots

Hitler banned all privite guns and took them away just before he started shipping the jews to those "work camps". its alot easier when the people cant fight back i guess.
