I heard on the radio that the whole thing was pretty much staged. He had this whole thing planned. Is that true?

I saw it today and he clearly is not handcuffed completely yet. Generally speaking an officer is allowed to use that force which is resonable and nessisary to effect an arrest. They were arresting him he was not yet in cuffs and he was not allowing them to cuff him. When they tased him it gave the officers an opportunity to finsh cuffing him and get him moved outside the room. The idea that they should wrestle him till they get him cuffed is not sound for safty reasons. They don't know this person's state of mind. The officers are all wearing guns and this means to wrestle him puts him in close proximity to several firearms. He got tased. It was painful but he was not harmed. He has no or very small marks from being tased. They used the taser without the cartrage whick means it was used in the same manor as a stungun and didn't even break the skin. If they had wrestled him they would have risked more injury to the suspect and to the officer. Contrary to some people's belief officers are not paid to get inujured in the line of duty and they have as much right as anyone to protect themselves from injury. The taser saved all invovled from being injured. Also in general all officers that carry tasers have been tased with one, they know exactly what they are doing to someone when they tase them.

I don't think the Democrats had anything to do with this incident. I believe the kid staged the whole thing as a way to get publicity for himself.

| I saw this on TV It does seem odd that a pack of police cannot, without the use of a tazer, control one punk kid! Looks like excessive force to me.

The cops were idiots for over-reacting and giving the kid exactly what he wanted. I think they need some training, but they're hardly proof of a burgeoning police state. | well, that'll do it for me. T2000, you just saved me a lot of typing and did a dang fine job of it.

This was a fun thread and after rereading most of the posts most all of us are in agreement that the feller involved was putting on a show, so to speak.
It is my belief the cops were easy on the guy because of the camara in there face's.
I also know that he's lucky they didn't whip his azz for disobeying there orders. Again camaras.
