New bullet for 7.62 x 39mm coming in 2008

I was just recently on the Barnes web site looking at the Triple Shock X Bullet to shoot in my 300 savage when I came across whats new in 2008 section, low and behold there going to make a Triple Shock X Bullet for the 7.62 X 39mm. I sent an email requesting some more info on this bullet and offered to do some field testing,we will see how that goes. Anyways here is a link to the new products page where you can read about the X Bullet. I will be definitely be giving this one a try as soon as its available, with almost 100% expansion and weight retention it should make a great hunting load. Barnes Bullets » New Triple-Shock

Thanks for the heads-up res45, that along with the .303 cal 150 gr. will give two different options for use in my Mosin Nagants.

The reason I'm so happy about these coming out is they're one solid projectile. If you're rolling up reduced loads and the core separates from the jacket, you'll get a "hit" on the berm/backstop, but may have jacket stuck in the barrel. This is obviously bad. With a solid projectile, you either have a hit at the end of the range or a projectile in the barrel; no middle ground.

This and the lower friction are why they suggest lead bullets for "cat-sneeze" Sub-sonic rounds, which is what I want to be able to work my way up to for the AES-10 that I plan on purchasing.
