leupold VX-3 LRS in either 6.5-20 or 8.5-25X, or find a used nightforce BR 8-32X. new scope bases would be my first thing to do though.

the new leupolds would be just under a grand. a used nightforce would probably run about the same if you can find one.

wild guess $500

I dig the look bare minimum looks great on some things. Also how comfortable is that stock, it doesn't look like it would be comfortable over a long period of time. I bet its a straight shooter though.

bases can be had for a few bucks up to 150. i like a ferrel 1 piece base that runs about $60 and a set of warne QD rings will about $50 for the 30mm model. shop hard when buying a good scope, you can find big differences in prices on the more expensive scopes.

its a great make and model and lots of people like that stock.
i have been looking at the ultimate varmint myself.
i would go with the varmint because it would ride the bags better.
get a high dollar scope and go to town!

i like the porting.
i think you got a good deal
