Aw shucks guys thanks a heap and I really mean that! The Birthday party went very well, even got me a brand new zippo lighter (haven't owned one in almost 20 years got tired of losing em) with a belt holster even LOL. We all (especially me) ate and drank to excess but made it home all safe at sound, the party finally ended about 2:30 this morning. The only stripper we had was one of our friends little grandsons who had the misfortune of stepping in a fireant mound, we had to strip the poor youngun half nekkid to get all the damned ants off him, needless to say I treated that mound to a healthy dose of boiling watera palmolive dishsoap. Hoped they all enjoyed it! And the boy to an extra piece of birthday cake while we rubbed him down with baking soda and vinegar so the itch and sting would ease. I was under strict orders to not even try to cook anything, but there certainly was no lack of goodies!
Had a full brisket, smoked sausages, I got a New York Strip steak! Woohoo and there was a cheese and bacon potato casserole, corn chowder and cheese casserole, two kinds of tater salad (Both excellent) a cold veggie platter, deviled eggs and my there was plenty of all of it! Stuffed myself silly I did, and the cake was my favorite Spice with cream cheese frosting (Yum), we played ladder golf and horseshoes but never did get to the dominos. Danced with the Missus a bit so it was definately a terrific party (had nearly 20 folks come) those that couldn't had called>
To be sure I felt truly blessed to have so many take time out of their weekend to help celebrate my Birthday. And BTW that includes you folks here I really mean it when I say Thank You.
Earl
