Fluctuating Fortunes

I`m probably used that title before, here`s the scam:

I wanted an SA 1911 loaded, missed out on last one at old price, new one is EEEK!

Heck, I thought.. I`ll toss in 200 ish more `n get a Kimber.

I rang the shop today, Kimber Stainless Target II in probably 9mm please, how much and availablity..

$1710 rec retail, they`ll beat the distributor back a couple ( hope ) hundred, so we`ll say 1700 for arguements sake.

Here`s the tough bit, 3 - 9 month wait

bright side ( but only barely ) that`d be 49 bucks a week lay away

I wanted it right MIAOW!!!

Never mind our laws, its the crappy small market thats the killer...

The crappy small market that exists because of your crappy minded politicians passing crappy minded laws placing unreasonable crappy minded restrictions on your Law abiding citizens discouraging their ownership of firearms. I feel for you!

Ezearln, it`s mainly to do with the fact that there are about 20 million ppl here, and only a fraction of them own guns. We are also 12,000 or so miles from the US..

These two factors have always been a major contributor in our market place for most things, not just guns.

The government has played a part for sure, I won`t argue with you there.

I beleive I`ve found the Kimber model I want at another shop, we`ll see what pans out

LOL Good Luck to you Johnny but I must admit as I recall the Aussies were pretty much always fond of the shooting sports it saddens me to see any Government intrude on such an activity knowing what the results would be!
