| JB are you kidding ? LOL I would shoot a Big Foot in a heart beat if I were able to contain my composure and if it were comeing to me. Other wise I'd prolly chit all over myself running like a mad man to get a way just like some of you would. I think...A.H Last edited by ArkansasHunter; 04-17-2008 at 12:42 PM. |

| If bigfoot starts running at me or attacking me HE IS DEAD. No other way to put it. I don't care what the law says it is self defence. Illegal deer is another story.

| Personally, I do believe in such a creature. I know someone personally, in my immediate family, who saw one when they were a teen. There are stories of people shooting these creatures, and a body has never been recovered, for whatever reason. Either the creature was not mortally wounded and escaped, or it has other members of its species there to defend against corpse retreival. Personally, I would love to bag one to prove their existence to humankind. But, I don't believe I could get away with it's remains....so chances are I wouldn't shoot one. Here is a good read about some guys who attempted to fight some of these creatures: 1924 - Ape Canyon

| I don't think there are protection laws for a "big foot", so to prove it was real and in the interest of science, yes I would shoot it.. |

| Actually in most states, unless there is an expressed 'open season' on some defined species or unless you have a license, you are unable to shoot any local wildlife or indigenous species legally.

| WOW! I bet most of you who say you would shoot it would be too busy running with a load in yer pants. I know I would not be standing around and the thing is too big to wrestle and too big to drag out and if he/she had friends near by, I sure wouldn't want to take chances in killing the one that was bringing the beer over on poker night. Me, I would do an ABOUT FACE and take bigger steps. |

| It is funny, in FL (I believe) they passed a nature & wildlife resolution that would increase the punishment for poachers and illegal animal trophy killing. Among alligators, varios birds, etc...they actually included a term for Skunk Ape, or Mikakka (sp?)...I forget which word they used, but it was referring to BigFoot...definitely interesting though.

The header on this thread is "If you saw Bigfoot would you shoot it?" Didn't say a dam thing about it attacking you or rumnning at you. Have you ever heard of anyone being attacked by Bigfoot? I didn't think so. Have you ever heard of anyone being attacked by a deer? Uh, yeah...In that case, it would be self defence, but being out of season, it was illegal. You're entitled to your opinion, everyone has one. | |
