World War II color photo's

The link below is for some terrific color photo's from the US in WWII. They are about half related to aircraft assembly and US warplanes, specifically the B-25, P-51 and A-20 on the third page is a magnificent photo of the US flag. Enjoy

Wow, those are some GREAT photos!!! Color photos from that era are rare, but 4x5 Kodachromes? What a treat! That man was a true photographer, his use of lighting is outstanding! I'd like to see some more of his stuff. My parents were both machinists at Mare Island Naval Shipyard during the war, I would kill to see photos like these from where they were.

My Mother could be in one of those picures, she worked for a defence contractor in
Dallas, TX after she graduated from high school.
Most all the men were fighting the war and the women were building equipment.

My dad said he ran a humongous vertical boring mill that he actually rode around on, but I've never been able to visualize my mom as a lathe operator. Wish they'd had some photos....
