I've got one in 223, sporter weight barrel with a 24x fixed tasco scope and I get moa with it after a bedding jod and hand loads, the trigger needs some work to realy make it shine.

All of the Howas that I have owned, have been able to shoot under 1". I'm sure with some work, you could get to 1/2"

Hi,
I go shooting once a month with a guy who uses a 1500 22-250, and it shoots great.

BUT>>>> he has had a trigger job done on it.

The guy that works for me shoots a Howa 1500 in .223 and that gun is just awesome, cannot be beat for the money IMO. I think he paid about $529 with a decent scope. Fires beautifully, feels great, very accurate!

i saw a show on the discovery channel were a guy said his favorite gun for hunting coyotes was a 22-250 and it showed you him shooting one abaut 300 yards away and all it did was jump and then it was still. i was even going to buy a 22-250 but i wanted a little more power if i was gunna go fore something a little bigger like a 7mm rem mag incase i saw a deer i wanted. but the 22-250 is a good choice of a gun just make sure it has enough power to do what you want

I have the 1500 stainless synthetic with the heavy barrel. I love they way it shoots. It is my understanding that Howa has built Remingtons under license and that is one reason I selected this gun. It is identical in appearance and function to my 700BDL. I am fine with the trigger but like with most any gun, you can always tweek that to your liking.
I am no sniper but it sure is flat shooting and accurate.
I removed the scope a while back to sell cause I needed some cash so haven't shot it for a while.
PM me if you have any questions. Heck, I might even be persuaded to let it go since I just havent been able to get out with it. It deserves to be out there shooting and not be a gun safe queen.

I have had my Howa in 22-250 with 22'' semi bull barrel for almost 10 years and it is a rifle that I can always depend on!! "A REAL TACK DRIVER" for all kinds of predators including some pretty good sized hogs. We cull does and spikes every year and this is my rifle of choice! This rifle has made me look like a much better shooter than I probably am. By the way, I have a 3.5x10x50 Leupold scope sitting on top of the barrel, I don't use anything else on all of by rifles. So buy this gun with confidence!!
