I have been trying to find a good deal on bulk 308 Winchester ammo. FMJ 500 rounds or more is what I am looking for but have not been succesful in locating. Cabelas offers exactly what I am looking for but they have a pretty lengthy back order on them. Also what exactly are BTHP (boat tail hollow point) bullets designed for? Are they a hunting round? Cabelas lists them with a pretty good price. Any way any info would be greatly appreciated as I am really itching to go do some serious shooting.

they expand when entering flesh
