Yep, the Government model is my favorite, you couldn't have made a better choice by going with Colt.

Well just took it to the range today, and all I can say is wow!! Here is my tgt. at 15yrds Winchester white box.. And keep in mind I still haven't "broke" this gun in yet....

Thanks all.... It came down to the Colt and a Kimber. I felt that for my first 1911 I would have to go with the original..
However I do see a Kimber in my future as well I like the Covert Line... Possible for CCW
