peep sight

Anyone change their rear sight to a peep sight? I've been looking at the mojo sights...

AK47 and SKS at Mojo Sighting Systems

The basic one is $39... I'm thinking about trying it out.

I changed mine out on my SKS - I didn't like it and put the original sight back on. The problem I had was the sight was not adjustable for elevation. If you can get the Mojo that is adjustable for elevation on an AK, then it would probably be really cool.

So the basic model did NOT adjust for elevation at all?

Their website says it's screw adjustable for windage AND elevation, but they don't have the microclick for the sks...

They have both for the AK

I have one on a M38 Swedish Mauser and LOVE it! Made a huge difference, and cost less than half of a true Swedish Target rear sight! Definitely worth the money any day...

I have one, and it's adjustable for both windage and elevation.

The more expensive click adjustable model is nice if you shoot a lot of different loads with different POI, and use primarily the iron sights.

As I use mine as a backup to a scope (and primarily with one load), the screw adjustable model is fine.

I now have Mojo sights on an SKS-M, Saiga .308, AK, and an Enfield 2A (Ishapore). With my aging eyes, the aperture sight is just easier to see, and faster to aquire the target (especially with the Enfield).

I also have a Williams WGRS sight on an AK. I actually prefer the Williams aperture, but the sight just seems a bit flimsy (although I've yet to have a problem).

YMMV.
