Our ultimate demise..

I follow the market very closely, and I think our economy will be our end... 2.5 TRILLION for the Iraq and Afganistan wars alone, (including interest, all borrowed ), paying for all the illegal imigrant health care, schools, etc. ..not good. Our kids, kids will still be paying for it all..

Quite possibly the next depression will start because of our national debt. A real SHTF senario.

Cool

the "war" is getting rediculous. I was all for kicking ass after 911...but come on ! What exactly are we doing over there ? It's obvious we are there to insure a puppet government...in the name of oil. Fine, but trying to hide it under the banner of fighting terrorism is a joke imo.
One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter...being an occupying force over there is breeding new generations of "terrorist" at a far greater rate than prior to the war...not so sure we're winning the "war on terror"...but I guess we're doing a great job on securing future oil supplies. But is it worth the money and lives ??? I dunno

As for the illegal aliens...I live in texas, and it's getting stupid. ppl openly marching in defiance of our laws...expecting all the benifits of citizinship without contributing...namely in the form of taxes etc. My little girl can barely watch cartoons because half the dialog is in spanish... ? I wo'nt say what I WANT to say... but I wonder which is worse...the flood of illegals, or the stagnant pool of the ghetto society that has been leeching off of our taxes for much longer ?
Wow, I'm probably going to get ripped by someone here...oh well.

Primal, you're absolutely correct concerning the illegal dilemma we're in. As for someone ripping into you, don't worry about it, comes with having an opinion. Many folks think I should be sympathetic to the illegals because I'm Cuban. My family went through all the proper channels and learned English and became members of American society. Today we see these "people" behaving like the US owes them. They come here ILLEGALLY refuse to learn the language, they use our hospitals, schools and government programs and then insult the very people they invaded.

I have friends that have come to the US, going through all the propper legal channels, paying the fees etc. and it really pisses them off watching whats going on... Our borders have to be closed first and then we can decide what to do with the problem. I think we should have towers along the border like other countries and people that try to cross should be ...... how shall I put it nicely..... used for target practice ?

And as far as this war, we should have just offed Sadam and his cronies and let them figure it out, thats whats going to happen anyway when we leave.. The corruption going on with the war is horrible. 100,000 guns that we paid for (for the Iraqies) "missing" , over a billion dollars paid to an outside company for training Iraqy police and it can't be accounted for..
And the list goes on and on..

We need Lou Dobbs for President

Yes, this country was built on honest immigration...and those who have spent that time and effort to gain citizinship should be every bit as concerned as those who were born here.
Not only do they not pay taxes, and flood the medical centers...raising medical bills for all of us. ( many thousands of hispanic females cross our borders just to give birth ) this takes a huge toll on us all.
But besides all that, the illegal workers here send the great majority of american dollars they make out of the country. that has to be millions and million per year, no longer circulating in our country, further harming our economy.
It is pure disrespect. and the mexican government supports this activity ( ofcourse they do...it's a boost to their own economy. ) But you go to mexico and disrespect them and break their laws...then see what happens. It's a one way street to the worsening of our economy.

I don't get it. A war on terror ... with wide open borders ? Is it not common knowledge that the mexican police can be bought off ? Are we to trust the Mexican government and authorities to keep our border safe from terror ? Yes, we need a fence...with razor wire and dogs...spot lights, and high power rifles...the whole deal, the whole length of the border...NORTH and SOUTH.

And to all who illegaly intrude should be dealt with harshly, especially in a time of war.
MAYBE THEN THESE PEOPLE WILL STAND UP TO THEIR OWN GOVERNMENTS...MARCH IN THEIR OWN STREETS, FOR A BETTER WAY OF LIFE.

I completely agree with your idea on how to control the border. I believe that it should be a military or paramilitary operation. They should have the border protected like we do at guantanamo bay in cuba. I believe that we should do it that way for mexico and also canada if possible......especially considering that, that is where some terrorists have been proven to cross.
