| big difference
i have a p85 and have had one for 18 years, in 89 the had a recall, if you had a p85 it had to go back to ruger to be checked out and a internal safety added,(they had one gun discharge when the decocker was applied) then it was stamped on the decocker mkII, the one's that that were made after that had a roll stamping next to ruger p85 that said mark II, then thay stopped making the p85 mark2 and made the all p89's, if you have a p85 without the mark 2 ruger need's to check it out, when i sent mine in they paid for shipping to and from them AND gave me a free 15 rd mag(this was way before the 94 crime bill) as for the grips i have the hogue's and recomend them to everybody, i have small hand's and the factory grips feel like rail road ties
but you can't go wrong with a ruger
