great reviews on this site , not so great reviews on others. my sr9 is mine on wednesday.

On the Gun-Tests webste, they have a review of the Ruger SR9. They said it was "pretty good" but they had problems feeding 147gr. ammo it. That was the only problems they had testing it out. They said they really liked how slim it is and how it fits your hand. They also tested the Springfield Armory XD9, which they said was better, but it did cost more. It is in the Dec. 07 magazine. Has anyone else had any problems feeding it 147-grain rounds? Or any other problems with the SR9? I'm looking for a good 9mm with a thumb type safety on it. I work as a armed securiy officer so the gun I get has to very reliable.

I have about 700 rounds thru my SR9 now, but they have all been 115gr and 124gr. I don't use 147gr bullets.

It's a good looking pistol. I just bought a PT111, Taurus, which is also striker fired. It has a longer DA first shot and then I only move the trigger slightly to reset it. If the striker does not ignite on the first strike pull the trigger again or rack the slide. Has a manual safety like the 1911. At first I stayed away from the striker fired pistols but now the above is my CCW.

Well I bought mine a month ago so I haven't had alot of time to take it out! I have fired around 1000 rounds through it (mostly 115 and but some 124), no hiccups at all. I figure if I hit my target even 12 out of 17 times it's not gonna matter what grain I'm using. As far as the loading thing, yea it was a little on the tight side at first. I got an UpLULA, so now I can load a clip in less than 5 seconds, but since I have 2 extra clips speed is not that big an issue for me. I mean hell if 68 rounds aren't enough to take care of the job, you better have some kind of back up, like an AR15 thats been tweaked. I love my new SR9, thinking about buying my son one if the DNA test comes back ok!

Hi Guys,Just bought an SR9 last week,have not shot it yet but gota say that it feels much better in my hands than the other earlier models at least in my opinion and I have big hands. I got it for 389 plus tax so shop around.
