please remember I was 11 which equals young and foolish. a friend and I were hunting rabbit and we were useing an old bolt action of his grandads in .22 short. we had taken several shot and nothing was dieing, we shot at a masquet tree and it didnt appear to do anything so I suggested he shoot me in the leg, luckly it was cold so I had long johns under my jeans. well the bullet never penetrated, it stuck in the fabric of my jeans but it felt like someone hit me in the thigh with a hammer and it left a weird blister which did scar for a while I can still find it if I look hard enough, so technically yes I have been shot it was just dumb luck that it was'nt worse.

I try to avoid getting hit while attempting to hit the other guy(s). Had a friend get shot 4 times with a 9mm and he never knew he was hit until he noticed he was bleeding about 5 minutes afterwards.
Was doing a ridealong back when and got a call on multiple shots fired at a street corner. Upon arrival, the victim was sitting upright, talking to the paramedics. I remember him sitting there with a blanket over his shoulders while 4 medics were trying to lay him down.
All he kept saying was, "When I get out of the hospital, I'm gonna kill that m-fer".
The guy had been shot 14 times with a Tec 9 at point blank range in the back. He claimed he was never seriously hurt and that being shot didn't scare him any.

A friend shot me in the toe with a BB gun and I had to dig the BB out with my pocket knife. He thought that since he only pumped it once, that it wouldn't go through my shoe but it did. He then had the ba**s to get mad at Me when he had to go fish his gun out of the creek . I also got shot in the a** by a 3\16" steel ball bearing, fired out of 6' of steel tubing, with 140 lbs PSI of air pressure by a co-worker. I've cut a fish hook out of my ear with a razor blade, lost a finger-tip in an automotive accident, and been cut, poked, burned, whacked, smushed, and ran over, but never "officially" shot.

Dearn toolman what else can happen to you LOL ? Ran Over too !!!

I forgot my brother back in 59 or 60 had one of the BB pistols that looked like a Colt 1911 . Some of you should remember them, they also shot a fuzzy pointted dart.
He shot me in the eye with one of those darks and fortunity It didn't put my eye out.
I wore a patch for a week or so, best I can remember.
The BB pistol disappeared for years until one day, I think I was around 16 years old I ask my mother what they did with it and she said It was up on a shelf in my Dads closet under some stuff.
I went and found it, there were some BB's there too. I went outside to shoot it and I sware the BB's would go left, right but not straight. Piece of junk !!!
I took it apart then through it away.

My mother in law was shooting one of my 200 gn .45 semi wadcutters at a steel drum and one bounced back and hit me in the chest. left a welt, but don't think it counts.

I seen more than enough wounded people on medivac's as a mission esential ground personell on C130's. They were either unconcious, screaming in pain, or jovial about it. This guy let us take a pic of his AK-47 wound. 82nd Airborne, inital ground invasion into Baghdad. Fellow was from Texas.

Never been shot but it took 186 stitches to sew my left arm back on after tangling with a John Deere chainsaw.

i was testing some supposibly armor piercing .357 rounds when one spattered and ricocheted back and hit my buddy and me. it didnt hurt but pushed me back a little. didnt think much of it untill we were checking the target and i was feeling the wound when my finger slipped into my gut cavity! did you ever touch your own guts? all i could think of was every gut shot animal ive seen. i was very lucky the piece of jacket they cut out of me was about the size of a .22 bullet and basicly all it did was poke a hole in my abdomen and stop on the out side of my stomach. (it has always been said that i have a castiron stomach) from then on i am very careful about what i am shooting at and whats behind it

When I was working in Chicago I got shot with a .45 Auto. It hit me in the right side just above the hip, and yes it does hurt.

Why are we so interested in getting shot?It doesnt make you a hero,it proves you cant take care of yourself in most cases.I never thought much about getting shot as I always knew I could do that.It was staying unshot that I wanted to do. sam.

Unless you have some kind of superhuman powers, how does being shot equate to not being able to take care of yourself?
