Call of Duty 4... wow...

Wow, this game is great. Anyone who likes games, go download the demo. It's about 1.5GB, but man is it worth it. Here are a few screens from a few minutes ago. Weapons wise, I've run across a pump shotgun, Beretta M9, M4's with and without the grenade launcher, the Javelin, Dragunov, AK, G3, SAW, RPK's, rocket launchers, and thats just the demo... Fun fun game.

Pred, I`m all over the COD franchise, it`s top of the ladder in my book. I`m waiting till I build the new box before I take the plunge on the next installment.

You got 2 x 7900 GT`s running in SLI? Hardcore... I`m looking at a quad core and and a 8800 GTX, but I`m greedy.

CoD 4 doesn't really need a lot to run, it surprised me. I don't remember exactly what I've got in my PC, but I think I built it with a Athlon64 Dual core 4600, a gig of something, and a 7600. I'd like to upgrade my video card and throw another gig of memory in before long though.

My next box will have, 2 gig of RAM, a Q 6600 Quad core, and a 768mb 8800 GTX.

It`ll run Vista, I`m wanting to jump on the DX10 bandwagon.

Actually, just buy the best video card that was out 4 months ago for about half price, use it for 6-8 months, and buy the best video card from 4 months prior for half price. Either way, you save a lot of money by buying older stuff when it comes to computers. At that, a 256MB 9800Pro will still run most games on the market, well enough to play anyways. And that card is what, 3 years old, at least...

I'm a console gamer, myself. But I love, love, love the CoD series. Historically accurate, great gameplay, and a lack of reliance on FPS tactics in favour of more realistic tactics, and environments that feel fairly real and make you stop and consider whether you want to go running out into the open.

Big Red 1 and Finest Hour had great learning curves, IMO.

Funny part, I wish they would make a game that allows you to play as the Germans and win the war.... You could on the Aces over Europe game, but you could never win.
