I took a few pictures of the country side for ya. I made a thread in big game hunting. But no pictures of the knife yet it's still in the post.

Well i finally got to test it out yesterday.

When i first saw it i was lost for words.
Fit and finish is flawless, handling is perfect, it is a joy to use. The grain in the handle looks a mile deep.

The only thing that was wrong with it is the tip of the blade was a little dull, but that is neither here nor there, that is an easy fix. So if that is the only flaw a fussy bugger like me can find, then Romey has done a top job.

Romey was an absolute pleasure to deal with, and if any of you are wanting a new knife that will handle any job you can throw at it and still look like a million bucks he is the man to talk to.

When i went out yesterday i got half way there and realized i left my camera at home so i had to take a few pictures thismorning when i got home.

I tell ya, this knife looks stunning in pictures but looks 100 times better when it is in your hand, it is a very nice knife.

I spent a good portion of this evening reading this thread, well it's more like a PBS series. Awesome work on this trully hand-crafted knife.

I for one have always thought to save your money and buy quality items. It will save you money in the long run. I love this quote from High Country Knives,

I really sums it up for me:

"Many people will spare no expense in a rifle/scope combination well over $1000, $500 on a range finder, $300 on a scent locked coveralls and then strap on a $40 junk knife to their waist. The average WORKING time of these items are minutes, the average working time of a knife can be hours during a hunt. The most used too, the one tool most relied on is the basic of all, the knife. Why settle for anything less when you need it and use it the most? "

Romey, awesome job on this knife and on all of your products. I just love to see quality items made by Americans in America!

God Bless you and all of yours!

Spooks

He harvested i think 12 large feral goats that he skinned and cut thier heads off with it.Off the top of my head it outperformed his uncle with Kabar by 10 goats. Something like that anyway. At anyrate he has 2 more on order now.. And his Uncle i believe is going to get one for himself as well.
All are retiring thier Kabars apparently.hehe Hopefully he will get a chance to pop on the forum and give his account

Update

Nathan speaking to someone about his knife on another forum:
"8 of the 14 skinned and heads cut off"
"it is a top knife, it has taken everything i can throw at it on the chin and hasnt dissapointed me yet (and im sure it wont) I worked it hard this weekend and it didnt miss a beat."
"It is really hard to put into words just how well made his knives are. Pictures are one thing but when you see it and hold it, it is a different animal all togeather.
Go on and use it. I assure you it is one tough knife, it was built to work and work hard, it will handle anything you can throw at it. It would be a real shame not to use something that is made so well, Romey's knives are a credit to him."

I asked him how it did cutting through the spine of those old stinking goats covered with dirt and what not.
If i recall there was a bit of a rue going while His uncle kept touching up his kabar and nathan kept on getting them done. Sounded like uncle was trying to forcably trade him. hehe
