Ive been working out bush for two weeks.Been at my mates farm fixing his shack.Started the week off fixing gyprock to the ceilings and walls. Then two days under the house re/wiring.Then another 2 days under the house installing a reverse cycle aircon unit and ducting.Been a bit busy i suppose.Have done a bit of shooting while i was there.I had to kill a brown snake too.Bloody thing was living under the house i had spent 2 days under. It wasnt agressive, but being one of the deadliest snakes in australia and in the world, and the fact i had another 2 days work under the house. It was 2 feet from the front stairs of the shack.5 foot long. From what i know(a little) they have enough grunt in one bite to kill 9 humans no probs.

heres another cloud pic this time it has a skull in the bottom right corner

This pic is of the mad mile a section of the Monaro highway, its one of my favourite runs.It is infact more than 4 kms long.I reckon i could wind my patrol off the clock on this bit if there werent so many cops around this area.I have had my truck up to 170km before i think another 10 kms is possible

This is a view from inside my new double swag. Its very comfy.I slept in it for two weeks.

We have the same spiders here but we call them redbacks.I have seen them grow as big as a large grape.Years ago my old boss bought a spray painting booth,it had been stored in a bush paddock for a couple years. The redbacks were huge.

Hey Murph! Beautiful scenery, you'd be bored stiff where I hunt-it's flat as a board with no tree cover at all. I just cleared out the deer blind and it was full of Black Widows, for some reason they like our blind during the summer months. Fatal bites are rare, but they can damm sure make you sick and leave a nasty hole where you used to have muscle.

Thanks fellas,i love taking pics.So expect more.

Spiders over here are different i suppose. You have some big tarantulas dont you?We have a spider that is close to one of your tarantulas,we call it the barking spider or bird eating spider. They are as big as a mans hand and look very nasty but wont kill you.Very nasty bite and make you sick as a dog.If you want deadly the funnel webb and its relatives are deadly. The mouse spider(same family as the sydney funnel web) is the most deadly spider in the world. My old man used to study spiders years ago.We used to canoe around the mangroves at night checking them out.I would much rather a spider on me than a snake any day.

We have Brown Recluse spiders and if your ever bit by one the area will rot away unless treated right away.
We have lots of these where I live. Fortuinitly they don't move around and they stay put until you get into one...A.H

Everyone freaked out in my part of Southern California a couple of years ago, because a young wife and mother was bitten by a recluse spider, went into septic shock, and lost both arms and legs.

Apparently it happened while she was unpacking some boxes sent to her from the Midwest by relatives; recluse spiders aren't native to this area. But it panicked people anyway...
