Were haveing the traditional Turkey and Cornbread Dressing.
Gibblet gravy lol.
Lesiure baby green peas. This is the only time we eat these.
Marinated French style seasoned green beans. These are great with dressing.
Mashed Potatoes.
Carrott caserole.
Broccoli & Wildrice caserole.
Lots of the jelled style Cranberry sauce.
Stuffed celery which i don't eat.
Green Olives.
Black olives.
Pickles. lol
Creamed Sweet potatoe something, something with them tiny marshmello on top.
They'll even be some Turnip Greens.
Homemade Rolls.
And other stuff I can't think of.
Pumpkin Pie.
A Blue berry cream pie.
Pecan Pie.
Some of you might be interested in this dish...
Marinated Seasoned french cut green beans 2 cans drained then pour into big enough bowl.
Next Pour Wishbone Italian dressing half over them...It's got to be Wish bone brand.
Next mash 4 cloves of garlic and put in bowl then stir then let marinate over night in the fridg.
Before serving pour off all the the dressing and (optional) take out the garlic.
My wife 95% of the time use's Garlic powder instead of garlic cloves.
This is better than it reads, trust me...the first time I ate it I thought whats this crap.
It's good...A.H

If anyone gets brave....
Take Lesure green peas - has to be this kind.
mince up a little bit of onion and mix together...now drain for at least 12 hours in the fridge.
take some mayo and mix in...I promise....this is the best side dish ever.

Okay, this is strange. I just called my wife Cindy to tell her when I'll be home tomorrow, and found out we're having corned beef and cabbage. Apparently, when my mother-in-law was in the hospital last week because her heart was acting up, she had a yen for it. So Cindy promised her some for Thanksgiving.

Add Chopped up Hard boiled Egg and a sprinkle of granulated Garlic and a pinch of salt to make it even better !

It's neat to see the variations on Thanksgiving dinner, so thanks for postin' this AH. I'm a day late, but I thought I'd share what I fixed yesterday: Turkey, sweet potatoes (w/ lots of brown sugar, butter, cinnamon and pecans), mashed potatoes, dressing, green bean casserole, lots of gravy!, homemade pumpkin pie, homemade deep dish apple pie, and some nice white wine from a local vineyard. Oh, and a relish tray w/ veggies, olives, pickles, summer sausage, cheese and crackers for snacking through the day! We have a 7 yr. old, a 3 yr. old and a little one who's almost one. Our littlest one just LOVED those sweet potatoes and she got her first bite of real turkey and some pumpkin pie, too. Hope ya'll got good 'n stuffed and remembered to thank the good Lord for all your blessings. Our 7 yr. old said the prayer this year and she sure did make her ma'ma and daddy proud! God bless everyone!

Talking

Due to a family melt-down situation (my father made a total arse of himself), I didn't go to the family holday dinner this time.

PIZZA...!!

For Christmas Dinner, I'm thinking . . . braunschweiger sandwiches.
