Bill Richardson is a Dem who supports Gun Rights

I was on the website "On The Issues" Today and was looking at Dem's who supported gun rights found only 1, Bill Richardson. Bill also has a concealed carry permit and Although he voted for the Assault Weapons Ban he states that if was because it was part of a larger crime bill(Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994). He later voted yes to repeal the Assault Weapons Ban. Whats nice about the link I posted is it is quotes and sites sources.

Bill Richardson on Gun Control

The NRA-PVF also gave Richardson an "A" rating when he ran for governor of New Mexico.

Giulani seems to be slipperier than a fish just taken out of water on his 2nd Amendment position. In fact, from info I read earlier today, his siding with the NRA seems to be just a front to gain popularism with conservatives. I posted a link on such in " Your Gun Rights and Election 2008". ...ShootToLive

We could do a whole lot worse than Richardson. He won't be the Dem nominee, though.

I wonder if there's an outside chance he'll be tapped as VP candidate, in an effort to balance the ticket and pull in independent voters who lean conservative or Libertarian??

If you Democrats can get him the Nomination - I will consider voting for him. I don't see that happening though.

Sad to say it but I agree I doubt he will get nomination. To be honest I didn't know who he was until I created this thread. I wanted to see if there were any Dem's that actually supported Gun Rights.

Did anyone else catch the Laura talk radio show yesterday afternoon, wherein she devoted the discussion to information about Mike Huckabee and what side of the politics line he really stands on?

Laura brought up a story recently printed in the San Diego Union Tribune on Huckabee that sheds bright light on the hidden and not being mentioned skeletons in his political closet when he was governor of Arkansas. These were not minor items of interest.

Also, Huckabee has been receiving some of his political guidance from a man named Morris, the same man who provided Bill Clinton with political advise to further his political exploits. Does anyone know who Morris is? I'd like to research him as well, and his ties to Bill Clinton and now Mike Huckabee. Red flag of concern going up...

I'm trying to track down a transcript of Laura's talk radio show on Huckabee so I can check out the statements about Huckabee's past political exploits, criminal activity, in Arkansas.

Another story was recently published in the New York Post that helps us see more clearly the "tax" side of Huckabee's agenda should he become US president:
HUCK'S SALES-TAX LUNACY

Is Mike Huckabee a real or false conservative?

Cool

Democratic politicians are generally anti-gun,mostly because it is expected of them.
I watched the vote number change during the '74 gun vote, the Dems kept reverseing their pro gun vote to anti gun under pressure.
Happened then, will happen again when the chips are down.

Dick Morris is a political strategist who worked for the Bill Clinton campaign. I have heard him say he likes and respected Bill Clinton, but it is obvious he detests Hillary Clinton. NOt sure what side of the aisle he sits on, or if he even makes a claim to be DEm or Republican, but he seems to be hanging around With Sean Hanniday a lot and seems to be more Pro-Republican these days regardless what his paste distasteful affiliation was.
