Click that and scroll down far enough, and you'll come to an option where you can set the time on your G&G page to the time zone you're in.

| No Whining ![]() ![]() | Must be a lot of seasonal depression there in Alaska when the sun rises late and sets early.

I definitely feel it during this rotation working from 6am to 6pm. I hate only seeing darkness. Sunshine gives me this certain joy that I can't explain. Today they let us off at 5pm so I got to see the sun as it was going down.

I spent a week or so working in northern Norway in the winter months, and it was dark the entire time I was there...except for a 20-30 minute glimmer of light on the horizon at about noon time. Wow, that was shocking to my physical system. After a few days my internal time/day clock was messed up and I felt like I was in a cave. When our work was finished and we all flew out, and reached a high enough altitude in the airplane so we could see the sun, we all could be heard letting out a sigh of appreciation to finally see the sun again. Those winters are tough on a person from a lower latitude, and are even tough on those who live there full time. Yes, a lot of darkness depression up there. But, what a wonderful place to visit and a great people to associate with.

I think there's 15 hours difference in time between Central Standard Time (KC, MO) and Eastern Australia. Plus, the international time zone starts just east of eastern AU and proceeds westward from there. That results in 15 hours difference, plus eastern AU is on the next day forward from us. As a result, it's now 7:09 p.m. C.S.T. Monday evening and around 1:09 p.m. there on Tuesday.
