14/25 FTE

I took my new Kimber Pro Carry .38 Super to the range today. I was shooting PMC Bronze .38 Super +P bullets. Accuracy was very good, when it would shoot. Out of 25 rounds I had 14 FTE/FTF situations. Tried two Kimber mags with the same results.
I don't know if it was the bullets, the mags, the extractor or what. I am greatly disappointed, especially compared to my Kimber Ultra Carry which has proven to be flaw free.

I will try different ammo next week to see if that was the problem. I have never had any pistol perform so poorly. I bought this weapon NIB. No stovepipes and the expended cartrige remained in the barrel.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.

Thanks

It could be extractor problem but sounds like a rough chamber to me.I know how I would do it but will wait for Mooseman to give his expertise on this one. sam.

You may be right. I kept all the fired cartriges and each one shows a LOT of scratches running the length of the expended case.

I had the same problem with the PMC Bronze in 380 and 9mm. Switched to Rem and reloads and problem went away.
The 380 was a Bersa and the 9mm was a CZ 75 Compact.

I found the problem. A small sliver of metal, from the manufacturing process, was wedged next to the extractor holding it wide open. I believe it will be okay now.
Thanks for the suggestions.
