| Senior Member | I used to have an 89 S-10 pickup with the V6, auto and a 670 CFM Holley throttle body. I feel your pain. Then I took the V- 6 and transplanted it my Triumph TR-7. Rocket, baby. Pull the pan, change the filter, clean the gasket area, and magnet in there, put some wheel bearing grease around the edge of the pan to hold the gasket in place, and reinstall. Torque each nut the same in a "head bolt" pattern. You should adjust the bands and check the MODULATOR. Adjust the cables for shift down, and drive the crap out of it until you drop a rod. Or you can get a Jeep C-J5 and put the motor in that, or a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and have lots of cool problems. Use factory fluid only from Walmart. Glad we could help. |
