1994 Dodge Dakota V8

a guy my dad works with has a 4WD 1994 Dodge Dakota V8 to sell

it has 130k miles, but the transmission was recently rebuilt, and he's only asking $2500, so I'd have some money left over if anything did happen to pop up(I have a little over 4k for a vehicle)

any comments? advice?

that's a pretty good price. I would recommend going to New Car Prices | Used Car Values - Official Kelley Blue Book Site and do the trade in price for it. see how it measures up price wise

I drive a 1994 Dakota 4X4 SLT extended cab that I bought my son for his first ride. He just bought him a new nissan 4x4 and returned the Dodge to me and it's been driven to hell and back and has about 130,000 miles on it.
It doesn't use a drop of oil and runs great and looks excellent.
This one has the V6 engine and the only problem with these trucks is the catalitic converter rattles.
I did have the transmission rebuilt in this one 2 years ago because Dodge thansmission are the worst there is.
If your not afraid that the transmission will go bad again and don't mind the gas consumpion buy it ! To me it is there best looking Dakota.
Mine has all the skid plates does the one your interested in have them ?
Good Luck...A.H

I wanted to get over being sick before looking at it so I'm going to see about looking at it soon, I don't really know much about it

If Dodges live that long, they will typically be ok for a while. It's the ones that are a problem child from the get go to watch for.
